Belinda's Place 2011 Golf Tournament
Thank you to all who participated in this inaugural event on Monday, August 22, 2011 . Staff and friends of Pheasant Run were pleased to sponsor a tournament to help kick-start Belinda's Place, York Region's first shelter for homeless women. As our cornerstone charity, Belinda's Place has been the focus of our fundraising efforts all year.
Craig Evans, President of Pheasant Run presented a cheque for $15,521.20.
Goodbye to Archie
 Many of you have been regular visitors to the Pheasant Run main office to see our happy go lucky golden retriever. Archie came to work with Brenda and welcomed all our guests as they entered the office. Brenda has been caring for and assisting in the training of Archie over the past two years to become a C.O.P.E. dog. Archie has finished his training and is now with his life partner, Calum and his mom Leslie. He is now a home help mate alerting Leslie when Calum's medical alarms go off. He is also there for Calum as a therapeutic companion to encourage the use of his limbs and muscles. Knowing that he will be doing a great job supporting and caring for Calum, makes it a little easier. Good luck Archie, we will all miss you. |
